Clinical profile, diagnosis and treatment of pediatric urolithiasis: a single center experience in Kazakhstan

Objective: The aim of our study to present the results clinical profile, diagnosis and treatment children with urolithiasis in Pediatric Urology Department Scientific center Pediatria surgery Almaty, Kazakhstan. Materials methods: A retrospective data from pediatric patients admitted January 2015 December 2021. was obtained medical records included those confirmed by imaging laboratory test, as 24-hour urine exams corrected for creatinine, stone composition. Results: We reviewed 204 urolithiasis. male‐to‐female ratio 1.34:1. Congenital anomalies urinary tract were found 40 (19.6%).Urolithiasis more common adolescent girls, whereas boys frequency observation is higher between 11 17 years old (p = 0.006). Majority southern regions (51%) country. Renal colic, infection macroscopic hematuria most manifestations. Urinary diagnosed 185 (90.6%). frequent metabolic disorders hypercalciuria, hyperoxaluria. In 35% cases there a disorder appropriate therapy prescribed. remaining cases, surgical used.
